Chicken and Mushroom Pie

Method

Preparation: 20 mins

Cooking Time:  1Hr 10 mins

5-6 Servings

 3. Boil water in kettle for Chicken Stock

4. Prepare ingredients: Cut Chicken; Chop Onions; Chop Mushrooms; Squash Garlic.

 7. Add Garlic, Mushrooms, Peas and thyme to Onions.

5. Put some butter in a pan & add diced Onions on medium heat.

 6. Put some Extra Virgin Olive Oil in a second pan & add chicken strips on medium heat until golden brown.

Stir mixture

Ingredients:

2 tbsp Plain Flour

  350g Free Range Chicken

  1  Red Onion   2 Garlic Crushed

200g White Button Mushrooms

400ml Chicken Stock

 200g Peas

200ml Milk

Handfull Thyme

1 pack 375g Jus-Rol Puff Pastry

1 pack 375g Jus-Rol Shortcrust Pastry



 8. Stir while adding  Chicken Stock and Chicken pieces; Also 200ml Milk and 2 tbsp flour to thicken.

 10. Spoon filling into 5 Pie Pots dishes and cover with puff Pastry.

Simmer 25 minutes

 9. Bring to boil and simmer for 25 minutes

 11. Pop into oven for 30 minutes.


Add French Fries for last 15 minutes

1. Preparation: Get the pastry out of fridge 20mins before starting so it is not brittle straight out of the fridge.

2. Blind Bake pastry:  {Optional}

Only if using large dishes: Butter & Line the Quiche dishes with Jus-Rol ShortCrust pastry & Put pastry dishes in oven - use oven ceramic baking beans
