Mince Pies
Method
Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes
Servings: 12 Deep Pies
Ingredients:
270g Butter perfect for Cakes
120g Golden Caster Sugar
420g Plain Flour
1 Jar Roberston’s Mincemeat 411g
1. Preheat Oven to 180C Fan.
Line baking tray with butter
180C Fan
2. Rub the butter, sugar and flour together by hand.
Gently mix in until completely incorporated (try not to work the mix too much or the pies will not be so crumbly).
Squeeze the mixture together into a ball of dough.
180C Fan
(20 minutes)
6. Brush the tops of the pies with milk. Bake for 20 mins until golden.
Leave to cool on the tray for 5 mins, then remove to a wire rack & dust with icing sugar.
SERVE
3. Line a 12-hole baking tray by pressing walnut-sized balls of pastry into each hole.
4. Spoon Mincemeat into Pies.
5. Take smaller balls of pastry than before and pat them out to make Star lids, big enough to cover the pies.
